Justina Kimmel as been with Therapy Without Walls since August 2015. She has both a Bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Loyola University in Chicago. Initially specializing in the geriatric and medical case management aspects of social work, she discovered through an internship working in an elementary school on Chicago’s south side and on a pediatric unit near downtown Chicago, her true passion is working with children and their families.
In 2012, Justina moved back to Wisconsin and began working within the community mental health field. Prior to joining Therapy Without Walls, Justina worked as a Service Facilitator and a Therapeutic Youth Mentor in the Sauk County CCS Program. She believes strongly in consumer driven recovery and working with people within their environment. She also enjoys working with youth outdoors and using the community as a resource. Justina is trained in Motivational Interviewing, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Brainspotting. She is a co-facilitator for the Creative Coping Group at Therapy Without Walls and has also co-facilitated a youth mindfulness groups as well.
Justina enjoys spending time outdoors hiking and camping and believes that movement and creativity can help each of us in our paths to well-being.
