Training and Community Outreach

At TWW we take pride in connecting with our local communities and our staff find many ways to volunteer our time to enrich our local communities.

These include our Empower Parent night through the CLC after-school program in Reedsburg, WI, ongoing Wood County training groups with all of the staff in the district, Mental Health/Wellness Days groups at schools, school presentations, and much more.

> We run booths and promote metal health awareness and suicide prevention walk and other community events.

> We donate to local non-profit organizations including Special Olympics, the SMILE Program, Boys and Girls Club, Walleye North America, among others.

> We participate on dozens of committees within our large services area including county and federal, and state programs as well as volunteer organizations.

> We offer free mental health screenings to residents of local homeless and domestic violence shelters.

> We run peer training groups for local providers focusing on Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Focused CBT.

> We currently had a free drop-in Opportunity for Connection group for adults in Sauk County at our main office in Reedsburg.

> Our Masters level interns provide free mental health services for consumers that are not able to have services funded by local programs.

> Many of our staff are trained in life saving skills like providing Naloxone and some are trained in CPR/AED and Wilderness First Aid.

> We have funded resources for schools when they have benefited the metal health of their students. This includes consultation as well as electronic resources.

> We try to find creative ways to improve our communities!! If you have any ideas on how we can assist in other ways please let us know!
