Group Therapy

Health Connections
Healthy Connections group focuses on building and implementing wellness and nutrition. This is an educational group with topics that include; how to plan quick and tasty meals on a budget, how good fats can improve memory, focus, concentration and sleep, how to use items in your home to promote movement, how to navigate through the grocery store and pick healthy options, reading and understanding labels, what foods are essential for nutrition and how to increase energy. During each group a healthy dish(es) will be prepared by the group facilitators and consumers for each group member to try.

Creative Coping
Creative Coping is a therapy group that will encourage the use of art as a coping strategy to enhance well-being, invoke creativity, and assist in building acceptance of self and others in a group setting. Participants will also learn to improve communication skills and build social connections. Group members will work with a variety of creative media ranging from paint to paper mâché. A different project will be featured each month, and participants will also be encouraged to lead a project of their choice.

Substance Use Group
This is an open group for both men and women who are in active recovery and/or who are in the contemplative stage of change. This group allows space to discuss; substance use, trauma, relationships, anxiety, depression and self-esteem all in a supportive environment. Participants will develop coping skills and resources to enhance their lives and support their recovery.
