Individual Therapy

One-on-one strength-based, person-centered psychotherapy using different evidenced-based modalities including but not limited to:

Motivational Interviewing (MI) – MI is a psychotherapeutic approach that attempts to move an individual away from a state of indecision or uncertainty and towards finding motivation to making positive decisions and accomplishing established goals.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) – CBT is a structured, present-oriented psychotherapy directed toward solving current problems and teaching consumers skills to modify dysfunctional thinking and behavior.

Play Therapy – A form of psychotherapy in which play is used as a means of helping children express or communicate their feelings in verbal and non-verbal ways.

Art Therapy – A form of psychotherapy involving the encouragement of free self-expression through painting, drawing or modeling, used as a remedial activity or an aid in diagnosis.

Sensory Integration Therapy – This type of therapy aims to help kids with sensory processing issues (which some may refer to as “sensory integration disorder”) by exposing them to sensory stimulation in a structured, repetitive way. The theory behind it is that over time, the brain will adapt and allow kids to process and react to sensations more efficiently.

Other Modalities Offered Include: Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy DBT, Rational Behavioral Therapy (RBT), Exposure Therapy and other evidence-based treatment modalities.
