Parent Education and Support
Assist parents in enhancing their parenting practices and behaviors, such as developing and practicing positive discipline techniques, learning age-appropriate development skills and milestones, promoting positive play and interaction between parents and children, locating and accessing community services and supports, supporting parents and strengthening parenting skills.

Skills Development and Enhancement
Words provide a point of reflection into our heart, and many times art is needed to express yet another dimension of the feelings behind a human experience. Art Therapy provides clients an opportunity to explore and express feelings and actions. Groups and Individual sessions provide a directed environment under the guidance of a board certified expressive arts therapist. Absolutely no art experience nor expertise is necessary to fully participate and gain the helpful coping tools art therapy can provide.

This service includes training in communication, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, decision-making, self-regulation, conflict resolution and other specific needs identified on a consumer’s service plan. Services also include training in daily living skills related to personal care, household tasks, financial management, transportation, shopping, parenting, accessing and connecting to community resources and services. Services provided to minors should focus on improving integration into and interaction with the minor’s family, school, community and other social networks. Services include assisting minor’s family in gaining skills to assist the minor with individual skill development and enhancement. Sills training may be provided by various methods, including modeling, monitoring, mentoring, supervision, assistance and cuing, and consumer advocacy.
