Therapeutic Mentor, Service Facilitator

Rob is an Advanced Practice Social Worker (APSW) and service facilitator who has worked in the community mental health field since 2018. He earned his Master of Social Work degree in Clinical Social Work from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.

In his professional practice, Rob uses a person-centered, strengths-based approach and incorporates Motivational Interviewing to support clients in identifying their strengths, building on their goals and creating meaningful change.

Rob has experience providing county crisis services and has received training in crisis debriefing. In his role as a crisis worker, he supported individuals experiencing mental health emergencies across a variety of settings, providing stabilization, safety planning, and assessment of the need for inpatient psychiatric hospitalization. During his general practicum with a neighboring county’s Health and Human Services Veterans Service Office, Rob also supported military veterans and their families with a variety of needs. As a proud Marine veteran, he brings personal understanding and appreciation for the experiences of those who have served.

Originally from Long Island and raised in New England and Arizona, Rob moved to Madison to attend college and enjoyed Wisconsin so much that he decided to make it home.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with family and friends, exploring trails and dog parks with his yellow Labrador, traveling, reading and playing the saxophone.
