Director, Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor

Greg has dedicated his life to helping others and strengthening his local community. From an early age, Greg was committed to service—volunteering at food pantries, launching a Giving Tree program in Verona, WI, and earning the rank of Eagle Scout. His passion for supporting others continued through college, where he served as a tutor, mentor, and Vice President of the Social Work Student Organization.

Greg earned his undergraduate degree in Social Work with highest honors from the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, followed by a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. His wide-ranging clinical experiences post-graduation shaped his values and vision as a therapist and leader.

A state-trained trainer in Person Centered Planning, Greg has developed and led trainings across Sauk County, supporting multidisciplinary teams in creating recovery-focused, individualized care plans. He specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Exposure Therapy, Crisis Planning, mindfulness, and has developed a unique approach known as Therapeutic Youth Mentoring—a powerful blend of mentorship and psychotherapy designed to engage youth who may not respond to traditional therapy.

In 2011, Greg founded Therapy Without Walls to address a critical gap in mental health services. Through his work in community mental health, he witnessed how many individuals—both youth and adults—faced barriers to care, such as physical or mental health challenges, transportation issues, financial limitations, or age-related restrictions. Recognizing that people are often more comfortable receiving support in familiar environments, Greg designed a model to bring therapy directly to consumers in their homes and communities.

Therapy Without Walls began by working primarily with adolescent males ages 4 to 18 who had struggled to engage in conventional therapeutic settings. By combining the relational power of mentoring with evidence-based therapy, Greg saw increased engagement and better outcomes for the youth he served.

Today, Greg continues to provide direct care through therapy and mentoring, while also serving as the clinical supervisor for his growing team. He trains staff in Person Centered Planning and ensures that recovery-oriented, evidence-based practices remain at the core of the agency’s mission. Therapy Without Walls is currently focused on maintaining fidelity in Motivational Interviewing (since 2015) and delivering Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, for which Greg became nationally certified in 2016.
