Emily believes in the healing power of human connection and the importance of authentic, trusting relationships in the therapeutic process. She brings a trauma-informed, bottom-up approach to her work—grounded in curiosity, empowerment, and a deep respect for each individual’s strengths. Emily is committed to creating safe, collaborative spaces where children and adolescents can grow, heal, and thrive.
She has experience working in both individual and group settings with youth from diverse rural and urban communities. Her professional background includes specialized training in youth-focused substance abuse and trauma counseling, equipping her to support individuals with trauma histories and those seeking change in substance use-related behaviors.
Emily earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee in 2023 and is a certified Advanced Practice Social Worker. She is trained in Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and integrates Brainspotting and play therapy-based techniques into her practice.
Emily personally enjoys staying active, quality time with family and friends and finding a new book to read or recipe to try out. It’s guaranteed that she will always find a way to enjoy the ever-changing Wisconsin weather.
